Setting up The Villages Tee Time System and E-mail Forwarding
How to receive email notification of tee time requests…
- Bring up thevillages.net and login.
- Click on golf at the top.
- Enter your pin number to log into golf.
- Click on Review/Change Personalized Settings.
- Your Villages.net email name will be shown about half-way down the screen. Under that, where it says “Email confirmations to you?” check Yes.
- At this point, you can receive tee time emails at your villages.net email account.
However…If you regularly use a different email address (such as Comcast, Embarq, AOL, etc.), continue on.
- Click on Email at the top of the screen you are in.
- Click on Settings at the top of the new screen.
- Click on Options.
- Under Mail Forwarding, in “Forward Mail To,” enter the email address where you want your tee time notification sent (i.e. johndoe@comcast.net).
- Check the box Do not leave a copy…in this mailbox.
- Click on Save at the top.
If you have two email accounts in villages.net, you need to do this for each account.
If you only have one email account, but two golf accounts:
- Log into the second golf account.
- Click on Review/Change Personalized Settings
- Make sure the first golf account holder’s email address is listed as the email name.
- Check Yes below (as with the first account).
Tee time notification will be sent to the first golf account holder’s email address, since your household has only one email account. So if you put in a request for both of you, the main account holder will receive two emails confirming the tee time, one for each of you.
You will now be able to receive an email for each fulfilled tee time request. Unfortunately, for some reason, the system does not send an email if the request isn’t fulfilled.
